Who we are

Acorn Roofing, 15 Moorway, Poulton-le-Fylde FY6 7EX. Telephone 01253 279736. We provide roofing, roof repair and guttering services across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect and why

When you use the enquiry forms on this site we collect the details you type in, typically your name, email address, phone number and your message. We use them to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotations and arrange work. We do not sell your details or share them for marketing.

If you telephone or email us we keep the correspondence needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, including records we must keep for guarantees and accounts.

Our lawful basis

We process enquiry details because you ask us to respond (legitimate interest and steps prior to a contract). Where we carry out work, we process what is needed to perform the contract and to meet legal obligations such as accounting rules.

Third party services this site uses

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. It runs on form pages and sends technical data about your visit to Google.
  • Google analytics tools help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. The data we see is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
  • ClickCease protects our advertising from fraudulent clicks and processes technical data such as IP address.
  • Trustindex displays our Google reviews on the site.
  • Google Maps powers the map on our contact page.

Each of these providers acts under its own privacy policy. Cookies set by these services can be controlled through your browser settings.

How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records for completed work are kept for as long as guarantees and accounting law require.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Contact us on 01253 279736 or through the contact page. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
